The Pirates Cove Cottage is a one bedroom, one bath, unit located in the newly renovated, Palmview Inn. This beautifully appointed cottage features a king bed in the master bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, a full bathroom and a comprehensive kitchen. Festooned with gorgeous palm trees and an ever present ocean breeze, Palmview Inn has been the choice of many travelers year after year. Close to beaches, dining and shopping, this property boasts one of the best locations on the island. Pirates Cove is one of six cottages within the historic Palmview of Sanibel, each one beautifully appointed with a distinct theme. The Palmview Inn offers vibrant fully equipped cottages within walking distance to Sanibel’s famous shelling beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. Complimentary adult bikes and beach equipment are provided to explore the nearby bike paths, or to enjoy a day at the beach full of fun under the sun. Pirates Cove can be booked in combination with the lockout suite adjacent to it for a two bedroom, two bath experience. Please see the listing titled Pirates Retreat for more information on the two bedroom variation. We are pet friendly for up to two dogs up to 50lbs each. If you will be traveling with pets, please notify us after confirming your booking so that we can update your reservation accordingly. Per pet fee of $75 will apply. Close to the beach. Everything you need is on the property. Very clean! We rented bikes since the few there were being used or unusable - but beach chairs and umbrellas were nice to have. We would definitely come back!
The location of our place was ideal for visiting Ding Darling, The Shell Museum and Aquarium, Tarpon Bay, beaches, and the Wildlife Refuge. We brought our two 8-pound dogs with us, and they were welcomed fully. Thank you for a wonderful week.
Cute little quiet cottage. The bed was very comfortable which was a huge plus. The shower on the other hand a bit small, very little water pressure and got cold real fast. Location was not bad but not what we had hoped for. We have stayed in Sanibel before over at the Castaway Cottages (no longer exist due to hurricane) and we were hoping this cottage was across the street from the beach like Castaway. Although the beach is at walking distance it’s like four blacks away and no where to park unless you have a permit so we had to walk to beach and carry all our belongings. The property did have beach chairs and bikes you could borrow and an office with supplies in the event you needed extra. There is an outdoor shower that I was hoping to use to rinse ourselves and items after beach but it was not working. Overall, the property was well kept and it was very a peaceful stay.
